- Percussion Ensemble:The Marietta High School Percussion Ensemble is a serious ensemble in which musicians will explore the deeper world of concert ensemble percussion. The ensemble is designed primarily for the more serious percussionist within the Marietta High School Percussion Studio, which includes the Concert, Marching, and now Percussion Ensemble members. However, other non-percussionist, serious musicians who are interested may join but should be able to demonstrate percussive skills and aptitude by being able to play scales on mallet instruments, and various rudiments, i.e. single stroke, double stroke, flam, paradiddle etc.
- Jazz Band: Jazz Band incorporates big band, swing, rock, latin, and bebop, styles of music giving our students a unique opportunity to study and perform styles of music which differs from their concert band experience, and expands their musical palette.
- Pit Orchestra: Students from the band fill out the pit orchestra for the drama department musicals. This January we will be performing “In The Heights.”
- Small Ensembles: Other smaller ensembles include Saxophone Quartet and Woodwind Choir (which both performed at the Governor’s Mansion in 2016) and Brass Choir
