Marietta High School has multiple band programs, including Marietta Marching Band, Marietta Concert Bands and Jazz Band. See below for additional details about each program.
MArietta marching band
The Marietta Blue Devil Marching Band is the spirit of our overall program. The band marches 100+ and is growing each year. The Marietta Blue Devil Marching Band is the most visible part of our band program playing at every football game, several community parades, and performing intricate marching shows at several competitions throughout the fall.

The Marietta Concert Bands are the centerpiece of our program. The purpose of our bands is to perform wind literature at the highest level while developing the skills, knowledge and understanding of each individual musician. Here the students grow in individual and ensemble skills, musicianship, character, and excellence. The Marietta Concert Bands are made up of three level based ensembles: The Marietta Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band.

The Marietta Wind Ensemble is the most prestigious ensemble in the greater band program. Membership in the ensemble is audition based. The ensemble performs a Winter and Spring concert as well as repertoire at Large Group Performance Evaluations (LGPE).

The Symphonic Band is an advanced level performing group. Membership in the symphonic band is also auditioned based. The ensemble performs a Winter and Spring concert as well as repertoire at LGPE.

The Concert Band is an intermediate level performing group. Membership in the concert band is not strictly auditioned, but is offered to any musician with past ensemble experience. The ensemble performs a Winter and Spring concert.
JAZZ BAND
Jazz Band is a performance ensemble which emphasizes musicianship through an understanding of jazz styles and music theory, improvisation, and the historical significance of jazz. Jazz Band is an extracurricular program that occurs in the spring semester each year.
